Salt Lake Temple

Ever since I saw picture's of the Salt Lake Temple I really wanted to go see it in real life. Well I got to I went and took pictures of it. I loved the Temple. Here is some information about the Salt Lake Temple. Announcement: 28th July 1847, Site Dedication: 14th February 1853 by Brigham Young, Public Open House: 5th April 1893, Dedication: 6-24th April 1893 By Wilford Woodruff
Site: 10 acres, Exterior Finish: Quarts monzonite ( similar to granite) quarried from little Cottonwood Canyon 20 miles Southeast of Salt Lake City. Number Of Rooms: Four progressive- style ordinance rooms and fourteen sealing. Total Floor Area: 253,000 square feet.

Temple Locale

Positioned on Salt Lake City's center block, known as Temple Square, the spires of the Salt Lake Temple rise amid downtown high-rises and super malls. Sharing the block are the North Visitors' Center and South Visitors' Center; the Tabernacle, home of the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir; and the Gothic-style Assembly Hall. East of the temple is the masterfully landscaped Main Street Plaza, complete with reflecting pool. Beyond the plaza is the Church's world headquarters, known as the Church Office Building, and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building—a multipurpose Church building, which has become a popular wedding event center. The Church's Conference Center, an architectural masterpiece, lies directly north of the temple. Every holiday season, Temple Square is transformed into a highly popular display of hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights. I am great-full that I was able to see the Salt Lake Temple and take pictures of it and have memory of it.

Going to Utah :)

I woke up at 6: 40 yesterday and got ready to go to Utah to visit my cousins. Got on the road about 7: 30ish and started driving. Taeta and I got to the border and gave our passports to them to check after we got our passports we continued on our way. Ok so I have been to Utah before but I was little the last time I went. I am with Taeta this time my first time alone without my parents.

Shelby and Bailey went to their dads for his birthday and for the long weekend. They will be back sometime today. They have school tomorrow so they will be gone from when ever they go to school till they get home from school. They will do their homework and then when they have time we will spend time together. So I am going to be in Utah for 2 weeks and I will tell you everything that I will do there. Wait let me tell you something its not that exciting cause everyone passes through towns and city's now and then.

Will I passed through Montana, Helena and others to, we also passed through Salt Lake City. I will go will go with Shelby to school sometime and see what her classes are like and to see what the teachers are like. Ok so i want to go back to high school because I miss it and I miss all my friends there too. Now I need to see what I want to do next fall I will hopefully sign up for some courses.

I am going to be taking a photography course. That's right a photography course my mom signed me up for a photograhy course in October. I have a Cannon camera its actually a Cannon tsi something like that you might know what I am taking about. I got the camera from my mom and dad as a grad present I am not that good at taking pictures. I need more practice taking pictures so then one day I can be good at it.

I am going to tell you something else how about I tell you the places I have been so far. I have been to Srilanka, Egypt, Thiland, States, Paris, London England, Italy, Rome, Pompay, Capri. I loved all those places I have been and would love to go to all of the places in Europe again.

Ok I love Canada except for the winters please don't get me wrong but most of you hate the winters and some of you like the winters. I think I like the states better then Canada but I don't know I can't decide

Mini Chucks

So there is this thing called the mini chucks and it is where miniature horses race against each other horses. The way it works is people sit on these little carts that like Pioneer carts but they are not they are used for racing. I watched them last year and there were these people have are my favorite and the race against each other. This year they weren't racing against each other but thats ok I still have other favorites this year. The ones that were racing last year are Stephanie and her fiance. I cant really remember Stephanie's fiance's name. Ok I think her name is Stephanie but I could be wrong. So let me tell you how the racing is done they have 5 races and 14 heats with 2 races in each heat. I would like to be one of the people who race that race I would have to train though. I would have to start training at a earlier time if I was going to race so if I had some training time I would be racing now. I would also have to ride horses my whole life since I was like 2 years old. Since I am talking about horses I thought I would tell you I love horses I have loved them ever since I could say horse. I can't really remember what my first word was but who cares. I am not talking about what my first word was I am talking about horses right now. So anyway I would love to have a horse if I had somewhere to put it and I have nowhere to put it. There are more reasons why I can't have a horse are I have no money to get one I also have no experience with horses. I have been looking at horses online that are for sale. I like brown horses that have white down the middle of the nose. Horses have to eat so I would have to get hay for them to feed them. I hope that one day I can get a horse and when the time comes think of a name for the horse. I would love my daughter to get her own horse one day and I hope that can happen. What else can I say about the horses. 

Family Reunions

I went to 2 family reunions and they were fun, the first reunion was at my Aunt Beacky's and uncle Williams cabin. While we were there my cousin Mason decides to go fishing so he did, after a while my grandma called him to come eat. Mason came to eat and he was holding the fishing rod and the hook was in his cheek. Yes that's right a fish hook in his cheek. Good thing we had my Uncle Bernie who is a doctor, he had to get a needle and at to put freezing stuff in. He froze Mason's cheek the took the hook out, there was blood coming out it was nasty I almost threw up. As some of you know I hate the sight of blood , I just feel like I am going to faint every time I see blood. Ok enough about blood, now to the other parts of the reunion. While we were at the cabin we had lots of fun we played this game called Minute to win it everyone had to play. We had to go against other people and do the 10 different challenges against them. On the real T.v show Minute to win it if you lost all your lives your game was over. We played it a bit different if we lost a life the way we played it we continued to play no matter what. After we were done playing everyone could do what ever they wanted to do. Most of us went home because the next day we had to go to Creston for another reunion. The reunion in Creaston was the last Boehmer reunion we will ever have. When we got to Creston we went to the hotel we were staying at and after we got checked it we went to go see what was going on at the reunion center.

Waterton Burr

Glen, Eileen, mom, Hannah and I went to Waterton yesterday and had a great time. We went to the water fall first. I took pictures of the water fall, I also took pictures of the mountains. I love waterton and the nature around it.

My sister Hannah took pictures of the deer, they both look at her like they wanted to kill her. I wanted to go put my hand up to the deer and see if they would lick my hand. Every time I wanted to put my hand there it glared at me.

I have not seen a bear this year in waterton yet. I usually see bears in waterton but I guess they don't want to see me.

One all nighter and almost another one.

Kyrsti, Brittany, Bridget, Matt, Jenny, Ty, Kendall Justin, and I went to Samantha's house for a bon fire. We went a played night games in the park, then all of us went to Kyrsti's house and watched movies till 8 the next morning. Every one was walking like a zombie, we all wanted to go home and sleep.

I got home later that day and felt like I was going to kill someone. I was still walking around like a Zombie. Finally I decided to have a nap but I wanted to see if, I could keep my self awake for another 14 hours. I was almost able to stay up for that 14 hours until I passed out on my bed. I have one thing to say I will never do a all nighter again.

Ok Maybe I tried to do another all nighter but it didn't go that well. Shelby, Bailey, Hannah and I watched a movie called The Roommate. After the movie we went drank energy drinks to keep us up well it worked. Hannah and Bailey decided to go to the bathroom and do their make up. Shelby and I watched another movie called Knight And Day.

After Shelby and I watched Knight And Day. Before you know it Shelby went to bed at 3 a few minutes after I was really tired and went to bed too. I woke up at 10 the next morning and was still tired. I wanted to go back to bed but there was no way I would be able to go back to sleep even if I tried.

Friendship

Getting to know me

Hello everyone my name is Megan Kawas, some people call me Meg I am a graduate from the Cardston High school. Your probably wondering what I am going to be doing in the fall well I am going to be working at the Chinook Lodge in Cardston Alberta. I am also looking for courses on the Lethbridge Collage website. I am going to be taking photography and other courses I want to do there. I am going be going back and forth from Lethbridge to Cardston so that way I can still see my parents and the rest of my family. Your probably wondering what else I am going to post on here. Well let me tell you what else I will post on here I am going to posting things like what happening that day. I will also be posting quotes, jokes and poems that I like. Ops I forgot to tell you things I like which are Photography, drawing, reading and riding horses I also like babysitting my cousin Charlise, I also babysit the cute kids named Alexis and her brother Anson. I also enjoy playing cards with friends, family and other people, I like swimming and watching movies alone sometimes. The movies I like are she's the man, Mean girls, I love scary movies and I could name all my favorites movies but there is too many to name. I don't remember half the movies I watch but thats ok. Oh no I forgot to tell you all that I love the out doors a lot, I enjoy camping with friends and family. I enjoyed girls camp these years.
